Woman charged after dog bites two-year-old girl's face

A woman has been charged over a dog attack in Dundee which left a two-year-old girl in hospital.

The 44-year-old was charged after the animal, described by police as a "husky-type dog", bit the girl on the face at Brownhill Place on Monday.

Police officers in riot gear were called in to seize the dog, which is currently being held at private kennels outside the city.

The girl was treated at Ninewells Hospital for an injury to her lip.
