Man charged with wasting police time over Perth robbery
A man has been charged with wasting police time after reports of a knife-point robbery at a Perth supermarket.
Police had initially issued a description of a man with a distinctive gold tooth who had made off with hundreds of pounds from the Farmfoods on South Street on Friday afternoon.
The North African or Asian man was said to have threatened staff with a knife.
However a 19-year-old man has now been charged with wasting police time and a report sent to the procurator fiscal.
