Three men who were caught supplying heroin with a street value of more than £180,000 have been jailed for a total of 12 years and eight months.
Robert Dick, Alan Shaw and Ian Hendry were caught selling the drugs in the Dundee area, which they had obtained from gangsters in Liverpool.
They were arrested during a police operation in February 2011.
Dick, 41, and Hendry, 46, were jailed for five years each, while Shaw, 48, was jailed for 32 months.
Dick and Shaw, of Dundee, and Hendry, of Carnoustie, pleaded guilty last month to being involved in the supply of heroin.
Detectives found they had Class A narcotics that could have fetched up to £182,400 if sold on the street,
Passing sentence, Lady Scott said: "It is clear to me that with the degree of planning needed to bring drugs in from the Liverpool area, that this was a major operation."
