Pedestrian hit by car on A9 southbound near Gleneagles
Two lanes of the A9 were closed after a pedestrian was hit by a car.
The southbound carriageway was closed at about 15:30 after the collision near Gleneagles but it has since reopened.
The road was shut between the A824, which leads into Auchterarder, and the B8081 junction at Blackford.
The condition of the pedestrian, reported to be an elderly man, is not known. The A9 was also earlier closed northbound at Dalmore after a lorry hit a bridge.
It was also blocked southbound between the Broxden roundabout just outside Perth and the B934 junction in Forteviot because of a separate car accident.
Those sections of road have since re-opened.
A spillage of diesel on the road closed one lane of the M90, also just outside Perth, between junctions 8 and 9, but it re-opened after the accident was moved to the hard shoulder.
Further south on the M90, one lane of the southbound carriageway was closed earlier because of a four-vehicle accident.
Lengthy queues have built up around the accidents, stretching for several miles on the A9.
