Teenager suffers facial injuries in Bo'ness blade attack

Police in Forth Valley are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in which a 17-year-old was struck on the face with a blade.

The incident happened at about 19:00 on Friday in the back garden of a property in Deanfield Crescent, Bo'ness.

The teenager was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital where he was treated for facial injuries.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have information that can assist with their investigation.

The suspect was described as white, 30 to 35 years old, 5ft 10in tall, of slim build with short, dark brown hair.

He was wearing a grey or blue Adidas sweatshirt.

Police said they were following a positive line of inquiry into the assault.
