Police search after car fire at Dundee officer's house

Police are investigating a car fire at the home of a Dundee officer.

The fire broke out in the car in the drive of the house in the early hours of Monday morning.

Officers are keen to trace a man seen in the Ballumbie area at about 03:50. He was white, 6ft tall, slim and of a fair complexion, wearing a dark coloured hat, dark trousers and a black and blue checked shirt.

Fire crews and five police units attended at the scene after the fire.

A white crime scene tent was erected over the car, with a uniformed officer on guard, and police dogs were used the search the local area.
