Man injured in early morning street attack in Forfar

Forfar - Dundee Road The attack took place near the Co-op shop on Forfar's Dundee Road

Police are investigating after a man was injured in an early morning street assault in Forfar.

The 32-year-old was in Dundee Road near the Co-op at about 05:00 when he was approached by a man who got out of the passenger side of a blue Subaru car.

The man, who was about 6ft 2in and of stocky build, spoke to him before knocking him to the ground and making off in the car. The victim required hospital treatment for facial injuries.

Officers have appealed for witnesses.
