Appeal after boy assaulted by man in Dundee

Charleston Drive The incident took place on Dundee's Charleston Drive

Police are appealing for information after a man was seen assaulting a child in Dundee.

The man, thought to be in his 30s, was seen seizing the boy by the back of the neck in Charleston Drive, near Forth Crescent, at about 19:30 on Sunday.

The child, thought to be aged 7-8, shouted for help before being assaulted.

The man had curly, short, fair hair, was of "scruffy" appearance and was wearing cream shorts and cream T-shirt.

The child was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms and a hooded top.

Anyone with information should contact police.
