Pensioner John Johnstone charged after firearms found in house

A pensioner has appeared in court charged with firearms offences.

John Johnstone, 76, was charged following a raid on a property in Queen Street, Fallin, near Stirling.

Three shotguns, two air weapons and various items of ammunition were recovered during Wednesday's search.

Mr Johnstone made no plea or declaration and was released on bail. The case was continued for further examination.
