Man arrested in cross-European police operation

A 51-year-old man has been arrested as part of a cross-European police operation.

The man was detained following a joint operation between the Police Scotland organised crime and counter terrorism unit, Europol and the Belgian Police.

A number of addresses across Perth were searched as part of the operation.

The man was held under a European Arrest Warrant and is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court later this week.
