Man seriously hurt after car hit tree in Angus

A man has suffered serious injuries after his car hit a tree near the village of Bridgefoot in Angus.

The crash happened at about 18:30 at Martin's Stone between Bridgefoot and South Balluderon.

Police Scotland said a grey coloured Nissan Micra collided with a tree. The driver was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

Officers appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the vehicle prior to the collision to contact them.
