Dundee woman dies after motorbike crash

A 35-year-old woman who was seriously injured when her motorbike with involved in a crash with a car near Dundee has died in hospital.

Lynsey Cargill was treated in intensive care after the crash between her MZ motorcycle and a Ford Focus car on the B954 close to Auchterhouse on Thursday.

Ms Cargill, from Johnshaven in Aberdeenshire, was taken to Ninewells Hospital but died on Friday evening.

The driver and passenger in the car were uninjured.

Police appealed for witnesses to the crash, which happened at about 16:05 on Thursday.
