Sex attack on woman in Kirriemuir investigated

Forensic teams are carrying out an investigation after a woman was sexually assaulted in Angus.

The 43-year-old woman was walking across a grassy area behind Hillbank Terrace, Kirriemuir, on Sunday evening when she was approached by a man.

Police described the attacker as being of slim build.

Specialist officers are speaking to the victim in order to learn more about her attacker.

Officers are not linking the incident to a sexual assault on a 16-year-old girl in Perth.
