Scots DJ Paul Norris killed in Thailand crash
A Scots DJ has been killed in a crash in Thailand.
Paul Norris, who was originally from Stirling, was killed in the early hours of Sunday after his motorbike reportedly collided with an airport taxi in Phuket.
The 45-year-old had been living in the country for 11 years and was a regular presenter on Phuket Island Radio.
The Foreign Office said it was providing consular assistance to Mr Norris' family.
The news was announced on Phuket Island Radio's Facebook page and prompted dozens of tributes from those who regularly listened in to his breakfast show.'Deepest sympathy'
The statement said: "It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Paul Norris (DJ Doris) was tragically the victim of a fatal road traffic accident in the early hours of Sunday morning.
"Phuket Island Radio extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to his family, loved ones and friends."
It is understood police in Phuket are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A Foreign Office spokesman said: "We are aware of the death of a British national on 12 January in Thailand.
" We are providing consular assistance to the family at this difficult time."
