Pair jailed for £88,000 heroin haul

Two men who were caught with more than £88,000 of heroin have been jailed.

Joseph Sinclair, 36, and James Anderson, 36, were both arrested after police raided a house in Balunie Avenue in Dundee in April last year.

The High Court in Edinburgh heard how officers found the pair with £88,320 of the drug in their possession.

Temporary judge John Beckett QC sentenced Sinclair to 40 months in prison. Anderson was jailed for 66 months.

The duo were detained by police on 8 April 2013 and taken into custody following the police raid.

Sinclair, of Dunholm Road, Dundee, and Anderson, a prisoner of HMP Perth, earlier pleaded guilty to being involved in the supply of illegal drugs at various dates between April 2012 and April 2013.
