Thomas Henderson named as M9 fatal collision victim

A 49-year-old man who died after being hit by a van on a motorway has been named by police.

Thomas Henderson, from Dundee, was involved in a collision with a Ford Transit van on the northbound carriageway of the M9 near Dunblane at 20:25 on Monday.

He had been in Glenochil village and the Menstrie area earlier in the day and was later seen in Bridge of Allan.

He died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

Police said inquiries were ongoing to determine Mr Henderson's movements prior to his death and the full circumstances surrounding the accident.
