Perthshire flats evacuated in overnight Crieff fire

Firefighters have been called to a blaze at a block of flats in Crieff, Perthshire.

Residents were led to safety from the building in Cornton Place.

The alarm was raised at about 02:20. By first light the fire, which was in the roof space, had been extinguished.

Fire crews remained at the scene to damp down any remaining hot spots. They also deployed thermal imaging technology to isolate gas and electricity supplies.
