Murder probe after death at Dundee flats

A murder inquiry is under way after the death of a man at a flat in Dundee.

Officers were called to a disturbance at Elders Court in the Lochee area of the city at about 12:20.

They found a man injured within one of the properties. An ambulance crew was called but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Scotland said his death was being treated as suspicious. They have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

The area has been sealed off while forensic examinations are carried out.

Door-to-door inquiries were also under way.

A spokesman said: "Officers are in the process of identifying the man and notifying next of kin.

"Anyone who has information that might assist detectives with their inquiries should contact Police Scotland Tayside Division."
