Cyclist David Wallace dies after hitting van in Perth

A cyclist who died after crashing into a stationary van in West Mains Road, Perth, has been named.

David Wallace, 52, of Grange Terrace, collided with a white panel van, which was parked in West Mains Avenue, near Errochty Grove, at 14:45 on Wednesday.

He was taken to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, in a critical condition but later died.

Police have appealed for anyone who saw the cyclist or the van near the time of the accident to contact them.

Mr Wallace's family said he would be greatly missed.

A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
