Driver who died after A9 overturning named as Peter Isted

A motorist who died in hospital after being injured in a crash on the A9 at the weekend has been named by police.

Peter Isted, 63, lost control of his Land Rover which overturned on the southbound dual carriageway near Birnam in Perthshire on Saturday.

Mr Isted, from the Pitlochry area, was taken to Dundee's Ninewells Hospital after the midday crash but died the following day.

No other vehicles were involved. His family said he will be greatly missed.
