My Bloody Valentine have released their first album in more than 20 years

My Bloody Valentine have been added to the line-up for this year's T in the Park festival.

The band released their first album in 22 years in February, with the demand causing their website to crash.

Organisers also announced that Trash Talk, FIDLAR and The Virginmarys will perform at the festival, which takes place between 12 and 14 July at Balado, near Kinross.

The headline acts include Mumford and Sons, Rihanna and The Killers.

Organisers said the first appearance by My Bloody Valentines at the festival was sure to be "a very special moment at the festival's 20th year celebrations".

Other artists already confirmed on the bill include Chase and Status, The Script, Stereophonics, Calvin Harris, Kraftwerk, David Guetta, Emeli Sandé, Frank Ocean, Snoop Dogg, and Dizzee Rascal.
