The body of a 35-year-old man has been found at a military base in Angus.

Officers and paramedics were called to RM Condor near Arbroath at about 23:55 on Sunday night.

Tayside Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin are being informed.

A serving marine had been reported missing from an address in Arbroath earlier that evening and police had attended the Royal Marines base in connection with that inquiry.
