A hillwalker has been traced safe and well after becoming separated from a fellow walker near the summit of Ben Vorlich in Perthshire.

The alarm was raised at about 18:00 on Thursday when the other walker reported the man had not returned to their meeting point.

A search involving members of Tayside Police and civilian mountain rescue teams was launched.

The man, who is in his 40s and from Fife, was later located.
