Driver, 90, dies after two-car crash on A977

A 90-year-old driver has died six days after he was involved in a two-car crash.

The man sustained chest injuries following a collision on the A977 at Blairingone in Perth and Kinross on 17 February.

He was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital after the crash and died on Saturday.

Tayside Police have asked for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.

In the incident, the 90-year-old's red Ford Ka was involved in a collision with a silver Renault Megane.

A man and a woman who were in the Megane suffered minor injuries.

Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are being carried out and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
