Tayside Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a object was thrown into the path of traffic on a major road near Forfar.
Officers said an unknown object was thrown into the path of a dark green Renault Clio travelling southbound on the A90 near to the Happas junction at about 22:00 on Wednesday.
They have described the incident as serious and reckless.
