Police investigating M9 crash near Dunblane appeal for witnesses
The road was closed to allow accident investigations to be carried out
Officers investigating a serious road collision near Dunblane have appealed for anyone who saw the crash to contact them.
A 28-year-old man from the Glasgow area was seriously injured after his light green Honda Civic collided with trees on the M9 near the Keir Roundabout at about 14:40 on Wednesday.
The man had to be airlifted to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow.
Central Scotland Police said he remains in a serious condition.
Traffic police closed the southbound carriageway of the M9 between Junction 10 and 11 for four hours while crash investigators examined the scene.
Sgt Alistair MacLean, of the Road Policing Unit, said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have seen this car being driven south from Inverness-shire on the A9 or M9 prior to the collision to contact us."
