Man in court over £350,000 Coupar Angus drug farm

A 26-year-old man appeared in court has appeared in court following the discovery of a cannabis farm at a flat in Coupar Angus.

Yan Ping He is accused of growing the plants, with a street value of £350,000, at a flat in Athole Street between 10 October and 16 December.

The 26-year-old is also alleged to have been concerned in the supply of the drug from the property.

Sheriff Michael Fletcher continued the case for further examination.

Uniformed officers from Tayside Police discovered more than 600 plants, at the property in the town's Athole Street, during a raid on Saturday.
