Two-tonne hydraulic hammer worth £40,000 stolen in Dundee

Police in Dundee are investigating the theft of a two-tonne piece of excavation equipment from a building site in the city.

The blue-coloured Sandvik hydraulic hammer was stolen from Myrekirk Road between 17:00 on Thursday 22 November and 08:00 the following day.

The two-tonne hammer is valued at approximately £40,000.

It is believed a vehicle would have been needed to transport the tool.

Police said they were keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area at the time, or who has information that could help with their inquiries.
