'Elderly' motorist seen driving wrong way down A90 in Angus

Tayside Police are trying to track the driver of a car seen travelling on the wrong lane of the A90 in Angus.

Officers said the black or dark-coloured Toyota Yaris or Citroen C1 was involved in a collision on the southbound carriageway of the A90 Forfar bypass near the Quilko junction.

The incident happened at about 10:50 on Friday.

The driver is believed to have been an "elderly woman", who was wearing a hat and glasses.

Officers said the registration of the car began with either SP06 or SP08.

The force said they were keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or knows anyone fitting the description of the elderly woman who was driving the car.

The car is understood to have signs of accident damage to the front.
