Fatal M9 bike crash victim named as Alan Brown

Central Scotland Police have named a motorcyclist who was killed in a crash on the M9 near Bannockburn.

Alan Brown, 42, from Falkirk, was pronounced dead at the scene after the incident, which took place between junctions seven and eight at about 17:00 on Tuesday.

A pillion passenger was taken to hospital with minor injuries and was later released.

Officers said their inquiries into the crash were continuing.

Police are keen to speak to anybody who saw Mr Brown's black Triumph motorcycle on the M876 and M9 before the crash.
