Arrest made following Dundee pensioner robbery

Police investigating a robbery at a Dundee newsagents, in which a pensioner was threatened with a knife, have arrested a 27-year-old man.

Officers said the man had been charged in connection with the Dura Street incident on Monday 29 October.

A 79-year-old woman was working at Stobswell Newsagents when a man with a covered face entered the shop.

He is alleged to have threatened the woman with a knife before making off with a sum of cash.

Tayside Police said a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
