Drainpipe woman injured fleeing Perth flats blaze
Firefighters quickly put out the fire in Alexandra Street, Perth
A woman has been injured after falling as she climbed down a drainpipe to escape a fire in a Perth tenement.
The alarm was raised by people who were trapped in their flat after the blaze broke out in a stairwell in Alexandra Street at about 21:00 on Thursday.
Two people were led to safety by firefighters and two others were rescued by an aerial appliance.
The woman who fell is not thought to be seriously hurt, but was taken to hospital in Dundee for treatment.
Tayside Fire and Rescue said the blaze was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
An investigation will be carried out into the incident.
