A motorcyclist has been killed after hitting a deer on the A923 Coupar Angus Road.
Tayside Police said the Yamaha FZS motorcycle collided with the animal and then a minibus just north of Piperdam at 06:50.
Emergency services said the 29-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 65-year-old driver of the mini bus and two women passengers were uninjured in the collision.
Crash investigators are currently at the scene and the road has been closed in both directions between the B954 Newtyle Road junction in Muirhead and the A94 junction in Coupar Angus.
