Black pudding 'fear and alarm' charges dropped

Charges have been dropped against a Perth man who was accused of causing fear and alarm by being aggressive with a black pudding.

Bradley Davidson, 47, was cleared when he appeared at Perth Sheriff Court.

He had been due to stand trial on a charge of acting in a threatening manner and hurling the black pudding across a room in his home on 13 May.

However, fiscal depute Stuart Richardson said the Crown was no longer seeking a conviction.

Mr Davidson had also been accused of assaulting a 10-year-old girl by kicking her on the leg to her injury, and damaging property by kicking a door.

Solicitor David Holmes told the court that his client continued to deny the allegations.

All the charges were dropped after Mr Richardson asked for the case to be deserted.
