Tibbermore car crash fatality named as Rhoda Lawton

A 78-year-old woman who was killed in a car crash at Tibbermore in Perthshire has been named by Tayside Police.

Rhoda Lawton, from Perth, was a passenger in a blue Mazda car which collided with a silver Renault Laguna between Perth and Madderty on Friday.

Two other women, aged 82 and 83, sustained serious injuries and are still receiving treatment in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

Another two women travelling in the Mazda suffered minor injures.

The driver and passengers in the other car were unhurt.

Tayside Police have appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, and who either saw the collision or the vehicles involved prior to the collision taking place, to contact them.
