Police name A81 crash fatality as Andrew Morrison

A 69-year-old man who died following a crash on the A81 in Stirlingshire has been named by police.

Andrew Morrison, from Erskine, died in hospital after the one-vehicle accident on the A81 between Ballat crossroads and Blane Smithy roundabout near Killearn about 08:10 on Wednesday.

The road was closed for more than an hour while emergency services attended the scene.

Central Scotland Police said Mr Morrison's family has been informed.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to contact them.
