Man held in Dundee after killing outside Maltman pub

A 35-year-old man has been detained by Tayside Police in connection with the death of another man after an incident outside a pub.

The 29-year-old died in hospital after the emergency services were called to the Maltman in Mains Road, Dundee, at about 23:00 on Friday.

Police said the 35-year-old has been detained on suspicion of murder and remained in police custody.

They have asked anyone who witnessed a fight outside the pub to call them.

Officers closed the pub and part of Mains Road, both of which were being treated as crime scenes.
