Thieves in Dunblane steal jewellery from home

A large amount of jewellery, worth thousands of pounds, has been stolen from a house in Dunblane.

The valuables were taken from a property in Ochiltree between 09:15 and 11:45 on Thursday.

Central Scotland Police said the thieves had taken rings, necklaces, bracelets and a watch during the raid.

The force has asked the public and shopkeepers to be aware of jewellery that is offered for sale in the nearby area.

Police have appealed to anyone with information about the theft to contact them.
