Man arrested after Bonnybridge cannabis find

Police officers have found more than 200 cannabis plants during a raid of a property in Bonnybridge, Falkirk.

A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with drugs offences after the seizure on Spence Street, on Monday.

Central Scotland Police said in July that they had discovered 19 cannabis farms over the past five months.

The force has also warned landlords to be vigilant as many of the larger cultivations have been found in rented properties.

Insp David Mitchell said: "This latest seizure again shows these cultivations can quite literally be happening next door to you.

"I'd like to ask residents to be aware of the signs, and to contact police or Crimestoppers if they have any suspicions."
