Walker injured in Glen Lyon ravine plunge

A walker has been seriously injured after falling 40ft (12m) into a ravine in Glen Lyon, Perthshire.
The man was with a group of four people when he fell at about 1245 GMT while walking on the Meggernie Estate near Bridge of Balgie.
Members of Tayside Police's Search and Rescue team and a paramedic were able to reach him after a "full rescue operation".
A helicopter airlifted him for treatment in hospital in Fort William.
A spokeswoman for Tayside Police said the walker had suffered lower leg and spinal injuries in the fall.
