Fire destroys £50,000 timber vehicle in Moffat

A timber vehicle worth more than £50,000 has been destroyed by fire near a farm in southern Scotland.

The Timberjack timber forwarder was parked at forest works near Mountainblow Farm, Moffat, overnight between Wednesday and Thursday.

The burnt-out machine was discovered by a worker at 07:00 on Thursday as he started work.

Police have asked anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area to contact them.

Tools, a radio and a CB radio were also stolen from the vehicle.
