Stolen £30,000 tractor recovered

Tractor Police want to trace anyone who saw the tractor being driven near Canonbie on Sunday night

A tractor worth about £30,000 which was stolen from a farm in Dumfries and Galloway has been recovered.

The silver and green Valtra 4x4 tractor was taken from land at Thornhill some time overnight between Saturday and Sunday.

It was found near Canonbie at about 20:30 on Monday.

Police believe that the vehicle was seen travelling on the B6357 in the Canonbie area at around 21:00hrs on Sunday.

Anyone who has information on the driver or saw the vehicle around this time has been asked to contact police.
