Double Olympic gold medallist, Rebecca Adlington, has said she is convinced that other parts of Scotland can benefit from the Commonwealth Games being held in Glasgow.

She was speaking to students and staff at the annual general meeting of Dumfries and Galloway College on the theme of inspiration, learning and achieving this week.

She told BBC Scotland's Debbie Muir that she was looking forward to the event in Glasgow - despite the fact she would not be competing.
