Dumfries cemetery gravestone vandals hunted

Cemetery Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area of the cemetery has been asked to contact police

Police have launched an investigation after vandals attacked a gravestone and surrounding ornaments at a cemetery in Dumfries.

The incident happened some time between 7 and 14 May at the town's High Cemetery on Craigs Road.

Police said the damage would cost an estimated £1,000 to repair.

Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in or around the cemetery has been asked to contact police with their information.
