Police warning over Hawick morphine theft
Police have issued a warning to the public after morphine was stolen from a care centre in the Scottish Borders.
Ten glass ampoules each containing 10mg of the drug are believed to have been taken from a secure cupboard at the site in Hawick between 17 and 30 March.
Police have urged people to be aware of the dangers of taking the drug.
Pc Nicola Adamson said: "We would like to warn people about the dangers of straight morphine as even a small amount of morphine could prove fatal.
"If anyone has information that could help with our inquiries they are urged to contact Police Scotland on 101."
