Lynne Trainor named as Dumfries bypass crash victim

Police have identified a 50-year-old woman who was killed in a three-vehicle crash on the Dumfries bypass on Tuesday afternoon.

She has been named as Lynne Trainor, of Rashgill, Locharbriggs.

The crash, which took place shortly after 13:00, involved an articulated tanker, a Volkswagen Tiguan and a Ford Ka.

Police want to hear from anyone who was driving in the area at the time and witnessed the incident.

The road was closed for "some considerable time" to allow for a full investigation to take place.
