Jewellery worth £10,000 stolen from house in Collin

Police are investigating the theft of almost £10,000 worth of jewellery from a house in south west Scotland.

The haul included pocket watches, rings, cufflinks and necklaces.

The items were stolen during a break-in at a property at Collin, near Dumfries, some time over the weekend.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
