Cash and jewels taken in Lockerbie property break-in

A safe containing a "substantial amount" of money as well as jewellery has been taken during a break-in in southern Scotland.

Police said the incident had taken place some time between Tuesday 29 October and Friday 22 November at a house in Lockerbie's Ivy Place.

A safe with cash and jewellery inside was taken in the raid.

Anyone who has seen anything suspicious in the area in recent weeks has been asked to contact police.
