Galloway Community Hospital death 'unexplained'

Police say the death of a 37-year-old man in a south of Scotland community hospital is being treated as "unexplained".

Steven Paterson, from Stranraer, died in the accident and emergency unit of the Galloway Community Hospital in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Anyone who saw him before his death has been asked to contact police.

The procurator fiscal has been informed and a post-mortem examination is being arranged.
