Liverpool man charged after Johnstonebridge drug seizure

A 30-year-old Liverpool man has appeared in court after drugs with a street value of about £1m were seized on the A74(M) in Dumfries and Galloway.

Andrew Edgson, of Hebburn Way, was charged with being concerned in the supply of amphetamine after being stopped near junction 16 on Tuesday.

No plea or declaration was made when he made a brief appearance at Dumfries Sheriff Court.

Mr Edgson was committed for further inquiry and granted bail.
